Currently, we have 1 event going on, and 1 more that will be activated tomorrow.
The first event is called "Box Drops for Fall". During the event, any monster you defeat has a chance of dropping a lucky box that could contain junk or very rare items. Your chances of obtaining a lucky box increase if the monster's level is close to or above your level.
The full item list for the lucky box will be released sometime after Halloween. The event will last until November 15th.
The second event hasn't been activated yet. It is our Halloween event. All of our spooky effects will turn on, and the Spirit of All Hallow's Eve will roam the land. Fuelled by powers from beyond the grave, the Spirit of All Hallow's Eve is hard to kill, and has equal difficulty no matter your level or equipment. The spirit can drop either Red Chips, Blue Tokens of Valor, or a brand new lucky box containing some brand new items.
The full item list for the lucky box will be released on November 4 or 5. The event will last until November 10th.
The server has been wiped. If you were previously registered, you will need to re-register.
The new voting requirement is a character who is Master or above.
Read more here.
The server will be wiped clean on August 13, 2016. It will be back up later that day.
Until then, everyone in-game is a GM.

With N00B having left because of health issues, the position of Head GM was opened. I have filled that opening by promoting Lofty from GM to Head GM.
What this means for players is that Lofty can now hold GM Events and give out rewards from the reward list.
In the event that N00B comes back, N00B will become Head GM again but Lofty will still be able to hold events. Essentially, the promotion is permanent, but the "rank" can change.
In the coming days, I will be promoting some of the Helper GMs to GM.
Discuss this: here.
Effective on Tuesday, July 12, N00B will resign from his Head GM position.
His health has taken a turn, and needs to leave in order to focus on his health.
For more information from N00B himself, please read his post on the forum.
Since I had to pay for the new webhost with existing donations, the donation counter on the side has been reset and updated with new values.
Some features require additional configuring, and are temporarily disabled while I work on them. These features are: the forum, bugtracker.flyforsky.org , and wiki.flyforsky.org.
You could use the XAT chat in place of the forums while they are down.
UPDATE: bugtracker.flyforsky.org and wiki.flyforsky.org are back up. The forum will take longer because of how complicated they will be.
Any website errors you've been seeing for the past couple days have been due to the webhost having issues.
They performed a maintenance on our webserver on the 1st of March, and since then the website has had tons of downtime.
The webhost knows about the issue and has attempted to fix it in the past few days. Meanwhile, I've been looking for a different company to host the website with just in case that the downtime doesn't get fixed soon.
So, no matter what happens, the downtime will be fixed in a few days (if it's not already fixed).
The website was down for a few minutes while we upgraded it.
The website is now upgraded, and it should not go down anymore. Since the website won't go down anymore, this means that the patcher should work 24/7 now. Another thing that should be improved with the upgrade is patcher speed. You may notice that the patcher patches the game faster then it did earlier.
Now, everyone should enjoy the 25 Days of Christmas!
Also, shout-out to the people who run the Fly For Sky Facebook page. Keep on keeping on!
Alright, it seems I have no other choice.
I've found what seems to be a good DDoS protection service, and it costs 27.99 a month. I don't have that kind of money right now, so I need you guy's help.
On the main page of the website, there will be a PayPal donation button.
But as of right now, you get nothing for donating.
In other news, the 25 days of Christmas event will start soon, so I hope you guys are looking forward to that.
Needless to say, the server is up with DDoS protection now.
Hello! If you a new player reading this, I welcome you. If you are a current player, then I want to say I'm sorry.
My main job is to keep the server online, and I've failed at doing that recently. Let's start at the beginning....
On November 1, 2015, an unnamed attacker picked our server as their target. The attack they used was a DDoS, which takes out the internet connection. So, they would take out the internet connection and no one could connect. The server would still be running, but it couldn't connect because of the attack. Nothing would fix it, and the only option was to wait it out. Sometime on November 7 I purchased a VPN to help with the attack. The VPN has not prevented the attack, but it has helped lower downtime. Yet, nothing I could think of stopped the attacks. And that's my fault. I am sincerely sorry about this downtime.
Today is the 24th of November. 24 straight days of attacks. I have zero intentions of quitting. I have invested 6 years into Fly For Sky. It would be foolish and stupid to quit now. So we continue. We're gonna stay on our current path and see what happens. Hell, it can't get any worse. So, by definition, it should get better soon.
As you might know, Fly For Sky is a donation-free server. The entire server is 100% free to play. You spend no money here, and you get a quality experience. That is my dream. That is what I strive for. I have to imagine that this attack comes from other, pay-to-win servers who realize that they are at risk. For them, the ideals of Fly For Sky are a danger to them and what they want; money. But it's too late for them. Me and my staff have fundamentally changed everyone's expectations of a server. If anything else,
I appreciate all of my players. I thank all of my players and I hope you guys can continue on, just like Fly For Sky is continuing on.
The collecting fields of Madrigal were barren. However, now with recent changes, the collecting fields are fruitful and ready for picking. A new custom feature of FlyForSky, collecting fields now give you 7%, 10%, (S) card pieces, and mysterious pills. Also, the wheels that come from collecting also are worth a lot, making collecting a great way to collect penya when you are away from your computer. On top of this, collecting speeds have been increased. In eFlyff, one gets an item every 30 seconds; in FlyForSky, one gets an item every 10 seconds making collecting a much quicker process then it was before. On top of these collecting updates, some changes have been made to siege. It it now possible to buff others in siege even if you are not participating in the siege itself; also, it is now possible to register for both 1v1 and guild siege. For a more detailed list of updates, see the patch notes linked below. Have fun sieging and collecting, and see you in-game!
Have you ever wished that your baruna weapon had the awesome elemental glow that non-baruna weapons have? Well, wish no longer; Baruna elemental upgrading is here. Oh, and did I mention that it also works on shields? Baruna users, enjoy your elemental glow! Also, for those who like to play Flyff in fullscreen mode or simply for added convenience for those who don't, the FlyForSky wiki can now be viewed in-game. One can view it by clicking on the Wikia Icon that can be found near the bottom-left of your screen. Along with these two updates, the level 185 sets have received some set effect changes. If you wish to see the new set effects, one can do so by viewing the FlyForSky Wiki. Also, new CS items such as fashion have been added to Is at the request of the community - thanks for the input! To see more detailed update news, view the patch notes linked below.
Divinium Caleus was large. Now it is even larger. Its size has increases from four Sephoras to that of nine. With this new land will come larger amounts of the current highest level mob at Divinium: Harpies; the Harpy population is being increased as many players attempting to level to 188 were putting a strain on the limited number of mobs available to kill. However, with this new update - there shall be plenty. Also, you will find that some land in Divinium has no mobs; this land in the future will be used for future mobs and possibly a new quest! Also, along with a large update to Divinium, comes a large new gameplay feature: the ability for Harlequins to dual wield one-handed Yo-Yos! Finally, all flying devices have had their speeds increased - with the top three fastest flying devices being the Lord Bike, Piyoko, and the Prophet wings. For more detailed information, check out the Patch Notes linked below!
There are a few new website additions that went live today. First off, there is a new and improved Ranking page which details the Guild that character is in, as well as total time played in minutes. Secondly, there is a new page in which you can Compare your character to a character on your friends list. Now I will go into a little detail about the recent patches, which can be found by clicking the patch notes button below.
The community asked for it. And now it is here. FlyForSky is now official updated to everything v17, including working 3rd Jobs, Coloseum, and much, much more. This is definitely a gigantic update, even compared to the v15 update awhile ago. So get in-game and enjoy all the new features, with never having to worry about over powered donating players, as that doesn't exist here. Nor does a cash shop. Play Flyff v17 how it was supposed to be played - see you in-game! For more information about the update, see the v17 upgrade forum post.
There is a new event going on right now! This event, called the 25 Days of Christmas, awards you with a gift for every hour of constant gameplay. This means you must stay logged in for 30 whole minutes at a time. The gifts are also repeatable; for example, if you stay logged in for 3 hours, you'll get 6 gifts. You can discuss the event here on the forums.
